Nanda & Associate Lawyers Professional Corporation is seeking an experienced Licensed Paralegal to join our growing Personal Injury team. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience managing Accident Benefits files and representing clients before the Licence Appeal Tribunal (LAT).
Key Responsibilities
- Independently manage Accident Benefits files from intake through resolution.
- Prepare and submit OCF forms and Accident Benefits applications.
- Communicate with clients, insurers, treatment providers, and medical experts.
- Review insurer decisions and ensure compliance with statutory deadlines.
- Prepare settlement materials, legal submissions, and Tribunal documents.
- Represent clients at LAT case conferences, motions, and hearings.
- Negotiate settlements with insurers.
- Maintain accurate file records and provide exceptional client service.
Qualifications
- Licensed Paralegal in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
- Minimum 5 years' experience handling Accident Benefits claims.
- Proven experience representing clients before the Licence Appeal Tribunal (LAT), including case conferences and hearings.
- Strong knowledge of the Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule (SABS) and LAT Rules of Practice.
- Ability to independently manage a busy caseload.
- Excellent advocacy, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with LEAP or other legal practice management software is an asset.
- Fluency in Punjabi, Hindi, or another language is considered an asset.
