JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Director of Business Intelligence and Innovation, the incumbent contributes to the exploitation and enhancement of data from various internal and external sources. They transform this data into strategic insights through extraction, analysis, modeling, and interpretation, in order to support and inform decision making across the organization. They are also responsible for maintaining and optimizing internal databases built on the Microsoft Fabric environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Translate business needs identified by the team into actionable projects and ensure that the data architecture can support them.
- Identify, understand, and profile relevant internal and external data sources to support the organization’s strategic objectives.
- Develop, optimize, and automate data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes into data warehouses.
- Ensure the reliability of information delivered to stakeholders by maintaining accuracy, consistency, and traceability.
- Maintain and optimize databases while contributing to their modeling, performance, and integration into BI solutions.
- Develop data models and semantic models that support the organization’s analytical and decision making needs.
- Build, publish, and maintain operational and strategic reports and dashboards in Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.
- Use programming languages and tools such as DAX, Power Query, SQL, R, and Python for data processing, analysis, and visualization.
- Establish and document processes, methodologies, data flows, and tools to ensure consistent and structured practices.
- Contribute to the evolution of the BI ecosystem by participating in the continuous improvement of architecture, processes, and organizational practices.
- Collaborate with IT, Finance, Operations, and other internal partners to support the development and evolution of BI solutions.
DESIRED PROFILE
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Operations Management, Mathematics, or Data Science.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong skills in data analysis and data architecture.
- Solid knowledge of the Microsoft Fabric environment.
- Good understanding of ETL processes.
- Familiarity with one or more programming languages and tools such as DAX, SQL, Power Query, R, or Python.
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Strong command of French, both spoken and written.
- Demonstrated rigor and confidentiality when handling sensitive data.
