Residential CAD Technician
Location: Central Alberta
Position Type: Full-Time
We’re looking for a reliable and detail-focused CAD technician to join our residential construction team. This is a production-based role focused on turning existing concepts and hand-drawn plans into clean, accurate construction drawings.
This position is best suited for someone who enjoys the technical side of drafting, works efficiently, and takes pride in producing consistent, buildable plans.
What you’ll be doing:
- Converting hand-drawn sketches and concepts into CAD drawings
- Producing clear, accurate plans for permitting and construction
- Applying Alberta Building Code requirements to working drawings
- Completing revisions quickly and accurately based on direction
- Supporting the team with renderings when required
- Managing multiple projects and deadlines
What we’re looking for:
- Strong working knowledge of Revit
- Experience with residential construction drawings
- Understanding of Alberta Building Code
- Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to take direction and execute without constant oversight
- High attention to detail and consistency in drawing sets
What this role is:
This is a technical, in-house drafting role focused on production. You will primarily be working from provided sketches and direction to create construction-ready plans. There is limited client interaction and design responsibility in this position. The focus is on accuracy, efficiency, and supporting the construction team.

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Red Deer, AB T4N 7C9: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- residential drafting: 2 years (required)
- Alberta Building Codes: 2 years (required)
