We are currently partnering with a global engineering and consulting firm specializing in the built environment to identify experienced Building Science professionals for a senior-level opportunity. This organization works with clients across residential, commercial, and institutional sectors to evaluate building performance, extend asset life, and deliver innovative solutions for complex building challenges.
Due to continued growth, they are open to professionals with 10+ years of experience in Building Science, structural restoration, or building envelope consulting who may currently hold titles such as:
- Building Science Project Manager
- Principal Consultant
- Practice Leader / Technical Lead
- Senior Building Science Engineer
- Building Envelope Specialist
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex building problems, leading projects or teams, and working closely with clients to develop practical, long-term solutions.
What You’ll Be Doing
Depending on experience and seniority, responsibilities may include:
- Evaluating existing building structures and envelope systems across residential, commercial, and institutional properties
- Investigating building performance issues including water intrusion, structural deterioration, and envelope failures
- Leading or contributing to rehabilitation, restoration, and adaptive reuse projects
- Conducting building condition assessments and field investigations
- Developing repair strategies, technical reports, specifications, and design solutions
- Managing projects from assessment through design, tendering, and construction administration
- Collaborating with engineers, architects, contractors, and clients
- Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
- Supporting client relationships and business development initiatives
What We’re Looking For
- 10+ years of experience in Building Science, structural restoration, or building envelope consulting
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Building Science
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility in Canada
- Strong understanding of building construction methods, materials, and systems
- Experience conducting building condition assessments, envelope investigations, and rehabilitation design
- Project leadership and client-facing experience
- Experience within a consulting engineering environment is considered a strong asset
- Bilingual English/French is highly valued for some roles
