Overview
We are seeking a skilled Vinyl and Hardie Plank Siding Installer to join our construction team. This role involves installing high-quality siding materials on residential and commercial buildings, ensuring durability and aesthetic appeal. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction and carpentry, with a strong attention to detail and safety. Responsibilities
- Measure and prepare surfaces for siding installation according to project specifications
- Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and secure vinyl and Hardie plank siding
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation
- Install siding panels, ensuring proper alignment, fastening, and sealing for weather resistance
- Apply caulking around seams and joints to prevent water infiltration
- Perform heavy lifting of siding materials and related equipment safely
- Maintain a clean work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects efficiently and accurately
Qualifications
- Proven experience with vinyl siding, Hardie plank installation, or similar exterior cladding projects
- Strong knowledge of construction principles and carpentry techniques
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings effectively
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as hammers, saws, drills, and caulking guns
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and working at heights or on scaffolding as needed
- Handyman experience is a plus, demonstrating versatility in construction tasks
- Excellent attention to detail, safety awareness, and teamwork skills
