COOK (FULL TIME POSITION)
The Battle River Lodge operates a senior’s lodge residence with a capacity of 101 residents in Wainwright, AB. We prepare and serve 3 balanced and nutritious meals to our residents daily.
Battle River Lodge is seeking a Cook to fill a full-time position in our Dietary department. You will be integral to our Dietary team, responsible for food preparation, cooking, and ensuring food safety standards are met.
Qualifications:
· Ideal candidate will have a Journeyperson certificate or several years of experience as a cook in a restaurant, institution or catering setting.
· Must be able to work 8-hour shifts including weekends with 5 days on, 3 days off schedule.
· Strong customer service and willing to go the extra mile for our residents by anticipating resident needs.
· Must be able to communicate with residents, family or guests in a professional manner.
· Must be able to work independently and respectfully as part of a team alongside other kitchen staff members.
· Food Safe Certification – First Aid Certification within 90 days of hire.
· Criminal record check completed for the vulnerable sector.
Pay and Benefits:
· $23 – 33 per hour commensurate with qualifications/experience
