Raise is currently hiring a Business Intelligence (BI) Business Analyst on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our Client, is one of the largest electrical energy suppliers in Canada
Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.
Description
Reporting to the Digital Analytics Marketing Advisor, the Data Analyst supports the Corporate & Customer Affairs team by providing digital web and app performance insights and reporting. The role involves developing, coordinating, and implementing dashboards, reports, tracking enhancements, and process improvements of low to moderate complexity, value, and risk.
Responsibilities
- Digital Analytics & Reporting

Analyze website, mobile application, and digital campaign performance data, translating complex datasets into actionable business insights and strategic recommendations.

Monitor, track, and report on core digital KPIs, including traffic, audience engagement, conversions, retention, and campaign ROI.

Build, maintain, and optimize interactive dashboards and performance reports in Looker Studio.

Utilize advanced Excel capabilities for data analysis, data manipulation, validation, and ad-hoc reporting.

Support and contribute to higher-complexity analytics and data initiatives under the guidance of senior advisory staff.

Implementation, Tagging & Process Improvement

Oversee web tracking setup, QA, and troubleshooting using Google Tag Manager (GTM).

Support mobile app tracking, engagement/conversion metrics, and mobile attribution analysis.

Identify key opportunities to improve tracking accuracy, tagging structures, dashboard efficiency, and general reporting processes.

Execute rigorous QA processes for analytics implementations and validate campaign tracking parameters.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Requirements Gathering

Gather and clarify business requirements from internal teams, translating their strategic needs into clear reporting and dashboard outputs.

Communicate data insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through written reports, verbal briefs, and presentations.

Manage, prioritize, and track multiple simultaneous reporting requests using Jira, ensuring timely updates and escalating risks or data issues when necessary.

Work cross-functionally with marketing, analytics, web development, and external agency partners.
Qualifications
-
At least 3 years of experience in business analysis, with a focus on digital analytics, reporting, dashboards, and performance measurement.

Technical Must-Haves
-
Hands-on, deep experience with Google Analytics (GA4), Looker Studio, and Google Tag Manager (GTM).

Proven experience working with app analytics and mobile measurement platforms (e.g., Firebase, mobile attribution platforms, app engagement/conversion tracking).

Strong proficiency in MS Excel for advanced data analysis and validation.

Solid understanding of digital marketing concepts, including customer journeys, audience segmentation, conversion tracking, and attribution models.

Nice-to-Have Skills & Assets
-
Familiarity with Power BI.

Experience with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs).
-
Familiarity or foundational experience with statistical modelling, forecasting, or advanced predictive analytics techniques.

Previous experience working within the utility or energy sector is a strong asset.

Education and Certifications

University degree in Commerce, Technology, Business, or related discipline, preferably with a major in Marketing, Analytics, or Digital Strategy
Additional Information
- Requirement to be on-site at the Dunsmuir office in downtown Vancouver at least 2 days per week. Remaining days can be worked remotely within British Columbia.
