Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Maker to join our woodworking and cabinetry team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, woodworking, and construction, with the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics accurately. This role involves crafting custom cabinets and furniture, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship, and collaborating with project teams to meet client specifications. Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to produce precise cabinetry and woodwork.
- Cut, shape, assemble, and finish cabinet components using hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and other woodworking equipment.
- Install cabinets and related fixtures on-site, ensuring proper fit and alignment.
- Perform restoration work on existing cabinetry or furniture as needed.
- Measure accurately for custom projects, ensuring dimensions meet specifications.
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and other trades such as plumbing or electrical teams for seamless integration of cabinetry into larger construction projects.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety standards at all times.
- Assist with other carpentry or construction tasks including flooring installation, drywall work, or minor repairs when required.
Experience
- Proven experience in cabinetry making or woodworking is essential.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and construction drawings is required.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and woodworking equipment is necessary.
- Knowledge of construction estimating, rebar installation, roofing, siding, tiling, masonry, or concrete forming is a plus but not mandatory.
- Previous experience in restoration projects or installation of cabinetry within residential or commercial settings is preferred.
- Skills in electrical or plumbing work are advantageous but not required.
