Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and contribute to a welcoming dining experience. This role requires a strong focus on hospitality, multitasking, and effective communication to meet the needs of our guests. Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred, along with familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS. The Server will play a vital role in creating memorable dining experiences by providing attentive service and upselling menu items.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are upheld during service and food preparation
- Assist with food handling, basic food preparation, and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables simultaneously while ensuring guest satisfaction
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Address guest inquiries promptly and resolve any concerns professionally
- Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, daily specials, and restaurant policies
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly desirable
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and order calculations
- Experience with serving, cashiering, and upselling techniques is a plus
- Kitchen experience or background in the food industry can be advantageous but not required
