- Hours may vary based on operational requirements, including occasional early starts or extended shifts.
We are currently seeking experienced Material Handlers/Forklift Operators to join a busy industrial team. This is a primarily outdoor position with covered forklifts, supporting shipping and receiving operations in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will have strong counterbalance forklift experience, be comfortable loading and unloading trailers, and have previous experience safely securing outbound loads.
- Operate a counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload flatbed trailers and enclosed vans.
- Secure outbound loads using straps and follow safe load securement procedures.
- Perform material handling duties in an outdoor work environment.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for damage and accuracy.
- Complete daily forklift inspections and report any equipment concerns.
- Follow all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with general yard and warehouse duties as required.
- Work closely with the shipping and receiving team to meet daily production schedules.
- Valid external forklift certification required.
- Previous counterbalance forklift experience is essential.
- Experience operating heavy equipment is considered a strong asset.
- Previous experience loading flatbeds and enclosed trailers.
- Demonstrated experience climbing onto loads to safely secure freight with straps.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when required.
- Strong awareness of workplace safety and safe material handling practices.
- Reliable transportation and excellent attendance.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
