What Will You Be Doing?
Midland Transport Limited is currently seeking professional Class 1 Linehaul Truck Driver - (Owner Operator). The Driver can be based out of any major city in the Maritimes.
The selected candidate will be a reliable person with a strong work ethic, positive attitude and strong commitment to providing Superior Quality Service.
Responsibilities:
- Running Linehaul between the Maritimes, United States eastern seaboard, and Ontario/Quebec
- Deliver freight to assigned locations ensuring timely delivery
- Offload variable shipment weight and handle freight equipment properly and in a safe manner to avoid any damage
- Communicate efficiently with the central dispatch and customers
- Operate the tractor trailer in accordance with the safety regulation: company rules while following safety procedures and traffic laws
- Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the truck operation
- Report any incident, accident, injury or damage in a timely manner
- Willingness to work linehaul legs into the United States, including New York and New Jersey
What’s in it for you?
- Canadian miles: $1.550 per mile. /USA miles: $1.665 per mile
- Fuel Capped at: Domestic $0.408 per liter & U.S. $1.54 per U.S. gallon

What we are looking for?
- Bunk Truck must be no older than 8 years
- Education Required: High School or GED
- Class 1 driver’s license with a minimum of 3 years of safe tractor trailer driving experience in North America required
- Clean driver’s abstract and criminal search
- Eligibility to receive a FAST card
- Eligibility to cross the border with US
- Familiarity with satellite systems
- Excellent communication skills, work ethic and reliability
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. using the proper equipment
- Safety conscious
- Must have flexibility to work various shifts: Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends
