Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Truck Mechanic with expertise in Volvo trucks and electrical diagnostics, with a valid 310T certification as an asset. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical and electrical skills, along with dealership experience, to perform maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on heavy-duty vehicles and equipment. This role requires a detail-oriented professional capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. The position offers an opportunity to work with diverse machinery including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm equipment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on Volvo trucks and other heavy-duty vehicles
- Perform electrical diagnostics using specialized tools and schematics
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs
- Diagnose mechanical issues related to engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and industrial machinery for repair or testing purposes
- Follow safety protocols during all maintenance activities and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation of repairs performed
- Assist in troubleshooting complex systems involving HVAC, welding, or assembly tasks
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair status clearly and professionally
Requirements
- Proven dealership experience as a truck mechanic or in a similar heavy equipment repair role
- Valid 310T certification is preferred; relevant electrical diagnostic skills are essential
- Extensive knowledge of automotive repair, electrical systems, schematics, and industrial equipment maintenance
- Hands-on experience with heavy lifting and operating heavy machinery such as excavators or cranes
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic software
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and extended periods of standing or working in confined spaces
- Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients and team members
Pay: $23.82-$46.27 per hour
