- Must have at least 5 years of opticianry / sales experience in an Canadian optometric clinic or optical store
- Strong eyewear sales capability and product knowledge
- experience with promoting and fitting high end independent eyewear brands
- Guiding patients when selecting frames for proper fit and styling
- Taking eye and spectacle measurements to correctly fill prescriptions
- Advising patients on any necessary repairs or adjustments
- Preparing work order for optical laboratory
- Edge and Mount Lenses
- Skilled in frame adjustments and repair
- Ensuring that all orders arrive and are to the specifications of the patient
- Basic bookkeeping duties associated with tracking patient’s orders and recording purchases and other necessary information for each patient
- Maintaining displays
- Working with sales professionals from vision care suppliers
- Schedule appointments for patients to see the eye doctors
- Housekeeping duties such as replenish supplies and maintain cleanliness
