PART-TIME MOVING CREW MEMBER / DZ DRIVER
This is not an easy job.
Two Dudes One Couch Inc. is building a disciplined, high-performance moving crew in Norfolk County. We are looking for people who can handle heavy work, long days, difficult conditions, and real responsibility without falling apart when the job gets uncomfortable.
You will carry heavy furniture, appliances, boxes, and equipment through tight staircases, narrow hallways, bad weather, and challenging properties. You will work directly inside customers’ homes, handle valuable belongings, solve problems under pressure, and represent the company professionally at all times.
We do not need people who simply want hours.
We need people who can be trusted when the job is hard.
The Work
- Load and unload heavy furniture, appliances, boxes, and household contents
- Carry awkward items through stairs, tight corners, narrow entrances, and difficult access points
- Protect furniture, flooring, walls, doors, and customer property
- Wrap and secure belongings using moving blankets, stretch wrap, straps, dollies, and proper moving techniques
- Drive a manual six-speed commercial truck equipped with air brakes
- Complete residential, commercial, long-distance, delivery, and occasional junk-removal jobs
- Communicate clearly with customers and crew members
- Solve problems quickly without creating drama
- Follow instructions, safety procedures, and company systems
- Work with urgency while maintaining control and attention to detail
- Stay productive until the job is completed properly
What We Expect
You must be:
- Physically strong and capable of repeated heavy lifting
- Reliable enough that the crew does not need to wonder whether you will show up
- Punctual, prepared, and ready to work
- Calm under physical and mental pressure
- Professional inside customers’ homes and businesses
- Able to take instructions without arguing over every minor inconvenience
- Willing to learn proper moving techniques and company procedures
- Comfortable with early mornings, weekends, long-distance travel, and occasional overnight jobs
- Able to maintain effort during long and physically demanding shifts
- Responsible for your own conduct, attitude, and performance
DZ Driver Requirements
Applicants applying as drivers must have:
- A valid Ontario G license
- A valid air-brake endorsement (can be provided by the company)
- At least two years of commercial driving experience
- A clean and acceptable driving record
- Experience driving manual transmission vehicles
- Reliable transportation to Norfolk County
Preferred Experience
Strong candidates may come from backgrounds such as:
- Canadian Armed Forces
- Construction
- Farming
- Fire or emergency services
- Warehousing
- Landscaping
- Commercial delivery
- Competitive athletics
- Previous moving work
- Other physically demanding team environments
Moving experience is useful, but reliability, discipline, judgment, and work ethic matter more.

Pay and Advancement
- Starting wage: $19.00 per hour or $25.00 for DZ drivers or crew leads.
- Part-time, job-dependent scheduling
- Additional hours based on reliability and performance
- Opportunities to advance into driver, crew-lead, and leadership positions
- Increased responsibility and pay available to employees who prove themselves
