We are seeking a passionate, driven, and talented Sous Chef to join our leadership team. As a Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef and Chef de Cuisine to lead daily kitchen operations, develop team members, and deliver exceptional food experiences for our guests. You will play a key role in maintaining quality standards, driving operational excellence, and building a strong kitchen culture.
What You'll Do Culinary Leadership
- Lead kitchen shifts and support service execution.
- Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation standards are met.
- Support feature menu execution and seasonal menu rollouts.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and professionalism.
Team Development
- Train, coach, and mentor kitchen team members.
- Support onboarding and development of new employees.
- Foster a positive, accountable, and team-focused culture.
- Help identify and develop future culinary leaders.
Operations & Cost Control
- Assist with scheduling, inventory, ordering, and product management.
- Support food cost and labour targets through effective kitchen management.
- Monitor waste and ensure proper product utilization.
- Ensure prep lists, pars, and service readiness are consistently achieved.
Health & Safety
- Maintain all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and local health regulations.
- Lead by example in creating a safe and organized work environment.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2 years of culinary leadership experience.
- Strong culinary skills and passion for food.
- Ability to lead and motivate teams in a high-volume environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong understanding of food costing, inventory, and kitchen operations.
- A desire to learn, grow, and advance within a multi-unit restaurant group.
- Red Seal Certification is considered an asset.
