Summary:
We are looking for an enthusiastic Health & Safety Officer to join our team! This position will be responsible for assisting with all health and safety functions, including OHS compliance, investigations, reporting and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily site inspections
- Maintain and update Safety Board, site signage, etc.
- Inspect and maintain first aid kits, emergency equipment, and other relevant equipment
- Conduct site specific safety orientations to all trades and/or visitors
- Inspect materiel/equipment/PPE
- Create safe job procedures, and traffic control plans
- Ensuring sites are following all company policies, procedures, and safe work operations
- Helping workers understand and implement health & safety procedures
- Other duties as required
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education (degree or diploma) in health and safety, or equivalent education and experience is preferred
- Construction experience is an asset
- Previous Health and Safety experience is an asset
- Comprehensive/working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety legislation and industry safety standards is an asset
- Willing to travel
- Valid Driver’s License
- Strong computer proficiency including MS Office, power point, excel and computer databases is a major asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A Strong attention to detail
- Able to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines
Job Types: Permanent, Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 per year
