Dishwasher / Kitchen Help (Catering Operations)
They say an army marches on its stomach, but a high-volume catering kitchen completely stalls without a legendary Dishwasher / Kitchen Help superstar. In this role, you aren’t just washing dishes—you are the engine room of our entire operation. You keep our culinary and fulfillment teams moving fast by ensuring every pot, pan, utensil, and catering bin is spotless, sanitized, and ready for action.
If you love staying active, vibe with a fast-paced team, and take pride in turning a mountain of messy prep gear into a wall of sparkling clean equipment, you’re going to fit right in.
Key Responsibilities
The Clean Team Champion (Dish & Sanitization)
- Conquer the daily wave of pots, pans, cutlery, and kitchen equipment using our high-powered commercial dishwashers and 3-compartment sinks.
- Make sure everything is bone-dry, organized, and stacked perfectly back in its rightful home so the team can grab-and-go.
- Keep an eye on dishwasher temperatures and chemical levels—because "clean" isn't just a look, it’s a science.
The Culinary Sidekick (Kitchen Help)
- Jump in to support the kitchen team with basic food prep when needed (think peeling, chopping, or organizing ingredients).
- Help receive, unpack, and organize incoming grocery and supply deliveries—keeping our inventory rotated and fresh (FIFO style).
- Ensure specialized catering transport bins and food containers are clean, dry, and ready for the fulfillment crew to pack.
The Zone Controller (Facility Safety)
- Keep the kitchen looking sharp by sweeping, mopping, and maintaining clean, safe walkways.
- Manage the waste stations (garbage, recycling, organics) so things never pile up.
- Follow all safety protocols (including safe chemical handling) to keep yourself and your teammates safe.
Qualifications & Vibes
- No experience? No problem! Previous experience in a kitchen, restaurant, or warehouse is awesome, but a killer work ethic and a desire to learn is what we care about most. We will train you on the rest!
- Food Safe Level 1 (or a willingness to grab it before you start) is a major plus.
- Energy to burn: You thrive in a fast-paced environment where the music is playing and the shift flies by.
- Flexibility: Our schedule moves with our operations, so we need people who can rock early mornings, evenings, weekends, or overnight shifts.
Key Competencies
- Reliability: You’re the backbone of the kitchen—when you show up on time, the whole team wins.
- Speed & Hustle: You know how to manage a high volume of work without losing your cool or missing a spot.
- Team Player: You bring a positive attitude to the dish pit and are always ready to lend a hand to a teammate.
Work Environment
- A bustling, high-energy commercial kitchen.
- Expect some heat, steam, and soapy water, as well as occasional trips into the walk-in coolers.
- The Workout: You’ll be on your feet, moving, bending, stretching, and lifting up to 40 lbs throughout your shift. (Who needs a gym membership?)
