Our growing business is currently seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our commercial electrical contractor company.
Minimum 2 years of experience in Construction or Construction-related industry is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Full cycle bookkeeping (AP, AR & Journal entries) in QuickBooks Pro
- Accounts Reconciliation (Banks, credit cards, supplier & customer)
- Construction progress draws & work orders preparation and invoicing
- Biweekly preparation of payroll for employees
- Preparation of statutory payments and filing (WSIB, HST, Payroll deductions)
- Coordinate with external accountant in preparation of ROE, T4, T5018 & tax returns
- Ensure vendors are paid in a timely manner
- Other accounting related work as assigned from time to time.
Qualifications & skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Education in bookkeeping, finance and/or business is required
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent computer skills, knowledge of Quick Books, Excel, Outlook and Word.
- Ability to multi task and prioritize
- Strong attention to detail and ability to input data quickly/correctly
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour

- Brampton, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- QuickBooks: 1 year (preferred)
- Bookkeeping: 1 year (preferred)
