Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated AZ Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle different types of freight, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers.
Duties
- Operate tractor-trailer units in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment, such as forklifts or manual handling techniques.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including route details and cargo information.
- Navigate assigned routes efficiently while adhering to delivery schedules.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding any delays or issues encountered during transport.
- Ensure proper handling of refrigerated cargo to maintain product integrity during transit.
- Assist in the loading and unloading process for various types of freight, including dump trucks and roll-off trucks.
Requirements
- Valid AZ driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers.
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
- Experience with different types of trailers.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading freight.
- Strong knowledge of route driving principles and logistics operations.
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to safety practices on the road.
