We are looking for a warm, reliable, and engaging babysitter to care for our fun, curious, and energetic 3-year-old daughter.
We're hoping to find someone who will become a trusted part of our family and genuinely enjoys spending time with young children. The ideal candidate is patient, dependable, creative, and loves encouraging learning through play.
This is a part-time, flexible position with the potential for a long-term relationship.
Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive, loving care in our home.
- Plan and participate in educational, creative, and age-appropriate activities.
- Read books, do crafts, puzzles, music, imaginative play, and outdoor activities.
- Encourage learning and independence through play and everyday routines.
- Prepare simple, healthy meals and snacks for our daughter.
- Clean up after meals and activities, keeping her play and eating areas tidy.
- Maintain a safe, positive, and nurturing environment.
- Communicate with parents about the day's activities and any concerns.
We're Looking For Someone Who Is:
- Reliable, trustworthy, and punctual.
- Flexible with availability, including occasional evenings and weekends.
- Energetic, patient, and genuinely enjoys interacting with toddlers.
- Comfortable minimizing screen time and engaging children through play and learning.
- Organized and willing to help keep our daughter's spaces clean and tidy.
- A non-smoker.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification.
- Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check (or willingness to obtain one before starting).
- Minimum of 2–3 childcare references.
- Previous experience caring for toddlers or preschool-aged children.
- Legally eligible to work in Canada.
Assets (not required):
- Early Childhood Education (ECE), teaching, nursing, or a related background.
- Experience working in a daycare, preschool, or Montessori environment.
Schedule:
- Part-time / Casual
