DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responds to requests, prepares price quotations and proposals for domestic and international itineraries and processes bookings while considering all group specific details
- Ensure client is informed of and represented in all terms and conditions before, during, and after the group air process including their pre-ticketing, policy, reporting and security procedures
- Confirm, process and follow up with accounts payables and receivables to coordinate and complete the reconciliation process with Finance in order to provide customer with detailed and accurate reconciliation document
- Maintains and promotes professional and courteous client relations by managing a prompt and accurate response to telephone and email communications
- Accountable for entering data throughout the life of an event in the various technology tools such as Meetings, Project Management, Reservations and Time Tracking Technologies
- Plan group travel effectively and efficiently through the established standards, and with meticulous attention to detail according to client provided parameters
- Stay current with supplier and industry trends through attendance of team meetings and supplier onsite and offsite presentations
- Works in conjunction with the Group air team to meet client defined meeting parameters and proactively escalating client, supplier or program issues to management for timely resolution
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 4 years recent working experience as Air Groups Reservation Agent
- Knowledgeable in: airline terminology, codes, fare basis, airline rules and tariffs, airline passes, resource guides, books, and industry contacts
- Exceptional communication skills: verbal, written, presentation and consultative skills
- Current or experience working on a virtual team
- Strong domestic, trans border and international travel knowledge required
- The ability to work under pressure and effectively multi-task while maintaining professional rapport with customers is essential
- Necessary decisive and successful problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented and high-level of accuracy
- Sabre experience required, AMADEUS an asset
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel) an asset
- Ability to travel to client event, as required
- Bilingual: French fluency is considered an asset*
- Shift timings: Mon-Fri 9-5pm or 10-6pm (EST)
