Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Structural Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong welding expertise, mechanical knowledge, and leadership skills to ensure the highest quality standards in structural fabrication. No rig necessary we are looking for a by-hand candidate.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural welding tasks using various welding techniques to fabricate, repair, or modify metal structures in accordance with engineering schematics and specifications.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and blueprints to ensure precise welds and structural integrity.
- Ensuring safety protocols are followed and work is completed efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment by adhering to safety guidelines and conducting routine inspections of tools and equipment.
- Collaborate with other departments to support manufacturing operations, customer service needs, and ongoing facility improvements.
- Lead by example in safety practices, quality standards, and teamwork to foster a productive work environment.
Experience
- Proven experience in welding, particularly structural welding techniques such as MIG, and FCAW
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing processes, schematics, electrical systems, and facilities maintenance.
- Supervisory or leadership experience is preferred to guide team members effectively.
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately.
- Prior experience in manufacturing, facilities maintenance, or related industrial environments is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to collaborate across teams effectively.
- Must hold valid CWB certifications.
