We are seeking a result-oriented, efficient individual to join our team as a Shipping/Receiving Coordinator. The Shipping/Receiving Coordinator will work closely with the management team to plan and execute shipments of product. The ideal candidate has prior experience in an entry-level position and is immediately comfortable in a fast-paced work environment.
Responsibilities
- Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Plans loads through the load planning workbench.
- Arranges shipping truck loads.
- Books Carriers
- Issues pick lists to Shippers and collects completed pick lists.
- Creates bills of lading and customs paperwork for outbound loads
- Receives all incoming materials except for wire rods.
- Verifies all items received match the packing list and ensures they are in good condition.
- Verifies certificates of analysis are present and correct.
- Delivers packing lists, bills of lading and certificates of analysis to accounts payable.
- Maintains logbooks for service and deliveries.
- Liaise with Process managers to ensure materials on hand for scheduled work.
- Ensure compliance with all ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 standards and requirements.
Required Experience, Education, and Skills:
- Minimum two years of shipping & receiving related experience in industry; manufacturing sector experience preferred.
- Previous experience managing customs and steel documentation.
- Have a strong attention to detail and can clearly communicate both written and verbal.
- Ability to prioritize workload and multitask to meet deadlines while under pressure.
- D365 ERP system experience an asset.
- Be able to work independently with minimal guidance.
- High school diploma required.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $24.00-$29.00 per hour
