We handle every detail of the sanitation program, from on-site management of nightly cleaning crews to managing and maintaining all appropriate documentation necessary for internal and third-party audits (BRC, SQF, CFIA, USDA).
The Role
We are seeking a strategic, high-caliber Sanitation Site Manager to take ultimate operational and financial ownership of our sanitation contract at the client's facility. You will oversee multiple supervisors and lead hands, manage client relationships at the executive level, and ensure that safety, efficiency, and food compliance goals are met seamlessly. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the strategic on-site leader, ensuring all EDSS contractual commitments, KPIs, and service level agreements (SLAs) are fully met or exceeded.
- Oversee the site management hierarchy, including the development, performance management, and scheduling of Sanitation Supervisors and Lead Hands.
- Act as the primary business liaison for the client’s plant management and operations leadership. Attend key facility stakeholder meetings.
- Manage labour budgets, chemical expenditures, and equipment resources to maximize site operational efficiency and profitability.
- Oversee site-wide Health & Safety programs. Lead high-level incident investigations, ensuring regulatory compliance and implementing site-wide safety improvements.
- Drive operational excellence by implementing lean strategies, reducing waste, and modernizing sanitation methodologies in partnership with the QA team.
What You Bring (Requirements)
- 3+ years of management experience leading large operations teams within food manufacturing, industrial cleaning, or contract sanitation.
- Proven track record of managing supervisory staff and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong business acumen with experience managing labor budgets and operational resources.
- Comprehensive knowledge of HACCP, SQF, regulatory audits, and industrial safety standards.
- Outstanding conflict-resolution, problem-solving, and client-service skills.
- Proficient in MS Office for reporting, budget tracking, and performance analysis.
- Flexibility to support a multi-shift operation, with primary focus on night-shift handoffs and day-shift client alignment.
- Degree or diploma in Business, Food Science, Engineering, or a related field is an asset.

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
Experience:
- Sanitation in Meat-Food Industry Plants: 2 years (preferred)
