Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Landscape Labourer to join our team and contribute to the creation and maintenance of beautiful outdoor spaces. This role involves hands-on work in various landscaping projects, requiring physical stamina and a passion for outdoor work. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in horticulture, gardening, and landscape maintenance, with the ability to operate various tools and equipment to ensure high-quality results.
Responsibilities
- Assist with landscape installation, including planting, mulching, and soil preparation
- Operate equipment such as excavators and power tools safely and efficiently
- Perform irrigation system installation and maintenance to ensure proper watering of landscapes
- Maintain gardens and lawns through mowing, trimming, pruning, and weeding
- Use hand tools and mechanical equipment for construction and repair tasks
- Support landscape maintenance activities including fertilizing, aerating, and pest control
- Assist with general site cleanup and debris removal to maintain a tidy work environment
- Follow safety protocols during all landscaping activities to prevent accidents or injuries
Qualifications
- Prior experience with gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance is preferred but not required
- Mechanical knowledge related to power tools and construction equipment is advantageous
- Ability to operate an excavator or other heavy machinery is a plus
- Familiarity with irrigation systems and their installation or repair is beneficial
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions
- Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and basic maintenance procedures
- Construction experience or background in outdoor projects is desirable
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow detailed instructions
