iCare Home health is an innovative agency offering a variety of one-to-one home healthcare services including Friend, Personal Support and Nurse at Home. We leverage therapeutic art and recreational therapy to enrich the lives of people in the community and helps them deal with depression, self esteem, anger management among other personal challenges that they may suffer from.
This is 1:1 service that is usually held at the client’s home with the option to leverage community resources wherever possible.

- Provide one to one therapeutic recreation interventions for clients suffering from any or combination of ADHD, Autism, Anger Management, Mental Health issues and self expression challenges.
- Complete assessments, establish goals and set up milestones leading to achieving a successful result based on the assessed needs, evaluate.
- Adjust programs to evolving needs and/or abilities as a result of the care provided.
- Fill in proper documentation as required.
- Develop a positive professional working relationship with facility staff and client family members.
- Documentation is done online using our leading edge Health Espresso platform.
- Complete session progress notes thoroughly and with attention to deadlines
- A diploma/degree in Therapeutic Recreation
- Documented experience working with dementia and mental health challenges.
- Experience dealing with Autism is an asset.
- 1 year knowledge of and documented experience with therapeutic recreation assessment techniques, establishing treatment plans, program development, implementation, documentation and evaluation.
- Compassionate, optimistic, patient and caring nature.
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle is mandatory for this client.
- Police Criminal Reference Check.
- Special Needs children Care training and experience is an asset.
- Current certificate in standard first aid and CPR.
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Must be physically and mentally fit to handle the demands of care giving.
- Must be passionate and committed in heart and mind in everything you do You should have regular access to email / internet with MS Office knowledge.
