Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and assisting guests with their dining experience. Previous restaurant experience and familiarity with food industry standards are preferred, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn. Strong communication skills, time management, and the ability to upsell menu items are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive customer service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are upheld during food handling and service
- Assist in food preparation when necessary and maintain cleanliness in the dining area
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Address guest inquiries or concerns professionally to ensure a positive experience
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines in accordance with food safety regulations
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on hospitality and guest satisfaction
- Basic math skills for cashiering, billing, and handling transactions accurately
- Experience with food industry standards including serving, upselling, and food preparation is beneficial
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
