Position Summary
The objectives of this position are to support Blackfoot and Indigenous families by providing concrete supports, resources, and information (including parenting skills and stages of child development). Recognizing the importance of meeting families where they’re at, this position supports families where they live by providing mobile, flexible, and trauma-informed support.
Education and Qualifications
- Diploma/degree in child and youth care, human services, social work, social sciences (or equivalent experience).
- Understanding of the needs of parents and children, and experience working with families with complex needs.
- Knowledge and background in Blackfoot traditions, culture, and language.
- Understand and apply ethical standards and professional boundaries.
- Knowledge of legislation applicable to the protection of children and vulnerable adults.
Client Support
- Support families with their basic needs and navigating the system of natural and community support.
- Provide culturally grounded, relationship-based programming that strengthens identity, belonging and connection.
- Provide evidence-based information and education to support families, children, and youth (including Triple P).
Abilities and Expectations
- Perform administrative responsibilities to meet organizational and funding mandate and policy.
- Ensure data entry is completed in an accurate and timely manner.
- Thrives in a diverse day-to-day environment.
- Contributes to a positive team atmosphere.
- Valid driver's license.

Pay: $26.47-$28.90 per hour
