Job Summary
The Coffee Connection Ltd is hiring a Café Team Member to support daily café operations by preparing high-quality beverages and light food items, delivering exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment. This role works collaboratively with the café team to ensure efficient service while upholding food safety, sanitation, and company quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve coffee, espresso, tea, specialty beverages, and light food items according to company standards
- Welcome customers, take orders, and provide friendly, professional service
- Operate espresso machines, coffee brewers, grinders, and point-of-sale (POS) systems
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of beverage stations, dining areas, and café equipment
- Restock coffee beans, milk, syrups, pastries, cups, and other café supplies
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures at all times
- Process cash, credit card, and digital payment transactions accurately
- Assist with opening, closing, inventory counts, and daily cleaning responsibilities
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve service concerns professionally
- Perform additional café operations and customer service duties assigned by management
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in a café, coffee shop, food service, hospitality, retail, or customer service role is an asset but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS systems are an asset
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads
Preferred Skills
- Experience preparing espresso-based and specialty coffee beverages
- Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and beverage presentation
- Excellent customer service and teamwork skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
