West Social is looking for a Front of House Manager who lives for the energy of a full dining room and the quiet satisfaction of a perfectly run shift. This isn't a back-office job with a title — it's a floor general role. You'll be the conductor of the dining room: reading the room, setting the pace, coaching in the moment, and making sure every guest leaves feeling like they were taken care of.

What You'll Own
Lead the floor in real time. Maintain a strong, calm presence during peak hours. Control the atmosphere — lighting, music, temperature, pacing — so the room always feels like West Social. Manage the host stand strategically to keep seating smooth, protect the kitchen from slams, and keep tables turning.
Own the guest experience. Work the room with intention. Do table touches, build rapport with regulars, recognize VIPs, and personally acknowledge your high-spend parties. When something goes sideways, you're the final authority on service recovery — empowered to comp, void, or re-fire to make it right.
Coach your team as the shift happens. Run sharp pre-shift huddles on specials, 86'd items, and floor goals. Hold the standard on uniforms, side work, and service steps. Give servers and bartenders real-time feedback that makes them better, and make smart labor cuts as volume shifts.
Protect the financial integrity of the day. Issue and verify starting banks, approve comps and voids in real time, and handle mid-shift cash drops. Run end-of-shift checkouts so physical cash matches reports, and secure the final drop. Monitor the invoice inbox — scan, code, and file invoices so vendors are paid accurately and on time. Support day-to-day sales, cash flow, inventory, and payroll processing.
Bridge the kitchen and the floor. Work the pass or expo during rushes to keep BOH and FOH in sync. Hold the line on quality — every plate and every drink that leaves should meet our standard. Walk the room every hour to keep restrooms, entryways, and the dining floor pristine.
What We're Looking For
- Proven supervisor or manager experience in a table-service restaurant or similar hospitality setting — this is essential.
- A natural leader who can rally and develop a diverse team.
- Confident with cash handling and POS systems (Maître'D preferred).
- Genuine hospitality instincts and a focus on the guest.
- Solid working knowledge of food safety and proper handling.
- Calm and detail-oriented in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong, clear communicator.
- Experience interviewing, hiring, and training staff is a big plus.
- Comfortable around the kitchen and the pass; bar knowledge is an asset.
- Available to work lunch and/or dinner service.
