Position: Summer Student Handyman
Location: Castlegar, BC
Employment Type: Full-time, Summer Term (end of June– end of August)
About the Role
We’re looking for a reliable, hands‑on summer handyman to support general maintenance and small repair projects throughout the season. This role is ideal for a student who enjoys practical work, problem‑solving, and learning new skills on the job. No experience necessary, training and supervision will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- General maintenance — light repairs, touch‑ups, basic carpentry, and minor fixes
- Outdoor work — yard cleanup, painting, pressure washing, simple yard work (painting, grass cutting, weeding, pruning tasks)
- Support tasks — assisting senior maintenance staff with larger projects as needed
What We’re Looking For
- A student returning to school in the fall would suit this job well.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to lift 40–50 lbs. and work outdoors
- Positive attitude and dependable attendance
- Hands‑on experience doing any landscaping work would be an advantage
What We Offer
- Competitive hourly wage $20.38
- Flexible scheduling but only Monday to Friday hours, and, no evenings.
