Looking for Heavy Equipment / Truck & Coach Mechanic to join our team, based in our busy Chelmsford Office. To Achieve and persistently maintain high standards of workmanship and competence in performing tasks associated with preventative maintenance checks and general maintenance whilst maintaining high standards of internal and external communications and relationships.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Related assigned duties within qualification level, in accordance with all relevant guidelines and requirements. Test-drive vehicles to ensure repairs resolved the problem.
- Arranges for and obtains appropriate inspections and approval of all major repairs before vehicle is released from maintenance facility.
- Records time spent, parts used and repairs and/or maintenance conducted, on appropriate internal forms.
- Maintains a safe and clean, productive and efficient work area
- Perform emergency road repairs as required.
- Health and Safety regulations and procedures
Qualifications:
- Valid T310 Truck & Coach Technician Licence or 3 Year Apprentice
- Experience working on heavy equipment
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s licence considered an asset
Wages based on experience and qualifications
