About the Opportunity
We are hiring for a full-time Water Treatment Technician who is responsible for installing, servicing, and troubleshooting water treatment systems, testing water quality, and recommending effective treatment solutions. This role also provides technical leadership by guiding, training, and mentoring team members on system installations, troubleshooting, product knowledge, and customer service best practices.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Install, service, and maintain water treatment systems, including water softeners, filtration units, and reverse osmosis systems
· Conduct water testing and analyze results to recommend appropriate treatment solutions
· Diagnose and troubleshoot water quality issues (hard water, iron, odor, sediment, etc.)
· Educate customers on system operation, maintenance, and water quality improvements
· Collaborate with plumbing and HVAC teams on integrated system installations
· Maintain accurate service records, reports, and inventory of equipment and supplies
· Ensure compliance with safety standards and local regulations
· Provide technical guidance to team members on system selection, installation, and troubleshooting
· Assist, lead, or instruct team members in the work
· Train and mentor staff on water treatment products, system features, and effective sales techniques
Requirements
· Experience installing, servicing, and maintaining water treatment systems is preferred
· Plumbing and/or Electrical experience is a strong asset
· Knowledge of water filtration systems, water chemistry, and treatment methods
· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
· Ability to read technical manuals and perform installations independently
· Valid BC driver’s license with a clean driving record
· Strong communication and customer service skills
