What we seek
OCH is currently seeking a dedicated Operational Technology (OT) Systems Analyst to support, maintain, and optimize OT systems that underpin physical operations, including network infrastructure, servers, databases, cyber security and connected (IoT) devices. Under the guidance of the Director, Digital Solutions, the Operational Technology Systems Analyst will bridge IT and operational environments, ensuring reliable system performance, secure device lifecycle management, and alignment with organizational technology roadmaps. The Analyst works closely with Asset Management, Security, and IT teams to deliver stable, scalable, and secure OT solutions.
Operational Technology (OT) Systems Analyst with OCH:
In this role you will contribute directly to the strategic priorities of OCH by ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of the critical operational technology systems that underpin our organization. Working alongside diverse stakeholders within the organization, you will enhance operational efficiency, system resilience, and data integrity, thereby enabling excellence in the delivery of housing services for our tenants and communities.
As an Operational Technology (OT) Systems Analyst, some of the things you will do include:
OT Systems, Infrastructure and Device Management
Administer and support OT environments, including servers, virtual machines, network infrastructure, databases, applications, and connected devices
Monitor system performance, availability, capacity and device health across OT and IoT platforms
Configure and maintain OT network infrastructure, including switches, VLANs, firewalls, and secure IT/OT segmentation
Troubleshoot and resolve incidents impacting operational systems databases, applications, connectivity, and IoT devices
Manage onboarding, provisioning, patching, firmware updates and decommissioning of IoT/connected devices
Maintain system documentation, configurations, and architecture diagrams and asset inventories
Support data integrity, backup, recovery, and application performance optimization
Security, Change and Operational Continuity
Support implementation, testing, validation, and deployment of system changes, upgrades, patches, and new OT solutions
Follow change management and deployment processes to minimize operational disruption and maintain system stability
Support cybersecurity practices within OT environments, including patching, access control, monitoring, vulnerability remediation, and risk mitigation
Ensure compliance with internal policies, standards, and industry frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO, or industry-specific frameworks)
Continuous Improvement and Stakeholder Collaboration
Contribute to OT and IoT platform roadmap planning, lifecycle management, and continuous improvement initiatives
Identify opportunities to improve system reliability, automation, efficiency, and integration of emerging technologies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, operational users, and external vendors to support OT initiatives and service delivery
Provide technical guidance and user support to operational users

What you bring:
Education & Experience:
A typical candidate will have the following qualifications and experience. Exceptional candidates with different qualifications will be considered at the discretion of the employer if demonstrated experience, knowledge, and ability warrant.
Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
A minimum of five (5) years’ related experience in IT, OT, or hybrid environments
Experience supporting infrastructure environments including servers, networks, virtualization platforms, and databases
Experience supporting operational technologies such as building automation systems, security systems, industrial controls, or IoT platforms
Experience supporting Windows, Linux, or cloud-based server environments (e.g., Azure) and virtualization platforms
Experience working with SQL Server, MySQL, or similar database technologies
Hands-on experience configuring, programming, maintaining, and optimizing the Genetec Security Center platform or other enterprise-grade security, access control, video management, or building automation systems
Experience with scripting or automation tools such as PowerShell or Python is considered an asset
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, Cisco, Microsoft, or OT-related certifications are considered an asset
Experience working in regulated, mission-critical, or critical infrastructure environments is onsidered an asset
Knowledge of operational technology risks and mitigation tools
Solid understanding of control systems, networking and cybersecurity.
Familiarity with platforms such as SCADA, BAS, or physical security systems is an asset
Knowledge of networking concepts and technologies, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, and firewalls
Knowledge of IoT/OT device management and communication protocols such as MQTT, Modbus, and BACnet
Familiarity with OT cybersecurity practices, standards, or frameworks is considered an asset
Skills and abilities:
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose complex technical and operational issues
Advanced technical aptitude with the ability to evaluate systems, identify limitations, and recommend effective solutions and improvements
Strong business analysis, data mapping, reporting, and systems analysis skills
Ability to interpret technical information and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Strong organizational and documentation skills, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Demonstrated initiative, critical thinking, and continuous improvement mindset
Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in environments with uptime, operational, and service delivery constraints
Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills
Ability to provide guidance, knowledge sharing, and mentorship to team members and stakeholders
Oral fluency and reading and writing abilities in English is required
Oral fluency and reading and writing abilities in French is an asset

Must possess a valid "G" driver's license or equivalent and may require access to a vehicle for business purposes
Ability to work outside of regular business hours, as required based on operational and emerging issues
Work conditions:
This is a temporary full-time (35 hrs/wk) hybrid position with on-site attendance as required.
