Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Kitchen Supervisor to oversee daily kitchen operations in a dynamic food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food preparation and cooking experience, and a solid understanding of food safety standards. As a Kitchen Supervisor, you will manage kitchen staff, ensure high-quality food service, and maintain efficient workflow to deliver exceptional dining experiences. This role offers an opportunity to lead a team within a reputable restaurant or hospitality setting, ensuring compliance with industry standards while fostering a positive work environment. Day ,evening and weekend availability is expected.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, maintaining quality standards
- Ensure adherence to food safety and handling regulations in accordance with health codes
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and monitor stock levels to prevent shortages
- Train new team members on food safety protocols, cooking techniques, and service standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with sanitation guidelines
- Assist in menu planning and development to meet customer preferences and operational needs
- Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and foster a collaborative team environment
- Serve as a point of contact for resolving customer concerns related to food quality or service
Skills
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or food service environment
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling techniques
- Excellent team management and leadership abilities with a focus on hospitality excellence
- Knowledge of restaurant management practices including inventory control and staff scheduling
- Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations (e.g., HACCP)
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with staff and serve customers professionally
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Experience with menu development and culinary innovation is a plus
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer satisfaction
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
