We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Kitchen Manager to oversee daily operations in our bustling restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food industry knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing kitchen staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining efficient restaurant operations to provide a memorable dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and performance management
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality and consistency
- Manage food handling procedures in compliance with safety and sanitation standards
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders to maintain adequate stock of supplies
- Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness of the kitchen environment
- Lead team management activities including scheduling, interviewing candidates, and fostering a positive work environment
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Implement restaurant policies and procedures to optimize operational efficiency
- Handle customer inquiries or complaints professionally, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant management or food service leadership roles
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety protocols
- Supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting is essential
- Excellent team management, leadership, and communication skills
- Familiarity with restaurant operations including inventory control, food handling, and hospitality standards
- Previous experience in hotel or barista roles is a plus but not required
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of the food industry trends and customer service excellence standards
