Sunrise Speech is looking for a skilled and passionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant. The ideal candidate would love working with children of all ages, with a variety of communication needs. Hours are somewhat flexible, though you must be available at least 2 days per week for after school hours.
Your responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy sessions based on goals provided by the supervising SLP
- Collaborate regularly with the SLP to discuss client progress and therapy planning
- Support our SLPs by creating and preparing therapy materials and resources
- Instruct children through fun, motivating, and play-based therapy activities
- Build positive,relationships with children and their families
Our requirements:
- Experience working as an SLPA or CDA within Canada, or SLP in another country
- Experience working with children with disabilities
- Willingness to learn, be creative, and adapt therapy sessions to each child
- Strong communication skills with mastery of English
