Riverside Inn Hotel is looking for a friendly, reliable, and hardworking team member to join our small hotel team. Because we are a small property, all staff assist with both front desk duties and housekeeping tasks as needed. We are looking for someone who enjoys variety in their workday, provides excellent customer service, and is comfortable working independently.
This is a part-time position averaging approximately 20 hours per week. Most shifts will be Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays, with occasional shifts available on other days to provide vacation, illness, or schedule coverage. Would be suitable for a student as we can make the schedule work around school hours in the fall.
Hours of Operation
- Sunday to Thursday: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Friday and Saturday: 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM
Responsibilities
Front Desk Duties
- Welcome guests and provide exceptional customer service
- Check guests in and out
- Answer phones and respond to guest inquiries
- Manage reservations and guest paperwork
- Process payments and maintain accurate records
- Use hotel computer systems and reservation software
- Assist guests with requests, recommendations, and local information
- Keep the front desk and common areas clean, organized, and presentable
Housekeeping Support
- Clean and prepare guest rooms to hotel standards
- Change bedding and replenish room supplies
- Assist with laundry duties as needed
- Help ensure rooms are ready for arriving guests
- Support housekeeping during busy periods or staff shortages
Qualifications
- Friendly, positive, and professional attitude
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Comfortable working independently and making decisions when needed
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn hotel software
- Ability to perform physical tasks including cleaning, lifting laundry, and being on your feet for extended periods
- Hospitality, customer service, cleaning, or hotel experience is an asset but not required
