Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Cook/Dishwasher to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining the smooth operation of our food service establishment by preparing meals, ensuring food safety standards, and keeping the kitchen clean and organized. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong work ethic to support our restaurant’s daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly according to recipes and quality standards
- Cook menu items efficiently while maintaining consistency and presentation
- Handle food safely, adhering to proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Operate dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, utensils, pots, and pans promptly
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, equipment, and storage areas
- Support the serving staff by ensuring timely delivery of prepared food items
- Follow all safety guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
- Assist in inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying management of stock needs
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety standards is advantageous
- Knowledge of proper food handling procedures and sanitation practices is beneficial
- Experience with meal preparation and serving in a fast-paced setting will be considered a plus
