Position Summary:
As a key member of the inside sales team at the Acheson branch, you will be required to coordinate and process inside sales orders, provide technical knowledge and detailed product specifications to meet customer needs. This position will focus on supporting the (LG) Light Gauge division.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Customer Service: Providing high levels of customer service through professional and expeditious communication on the phone and via email. Understanding and delivering customer needs. Consistent and proactive quotations, follow-up.
2. Sales Growth: As part of a team, upsells by educating, offering other Vicwest products to accompany their order.
3. Order processing & Coordination: Maintaining contact with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure orders processed are produced and shipped to the correct destination, on time and in-spec. Complete all sales documentation for all transactions.
Major Responsibilities
· Develop and execute a strategic sales plan for the assigned territory.
· Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
· Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting and networking.
· Manage and grow existing customer accounts to increase retention and revenue.
· Conduct client meetings, product presentations, and contract negotiations.
· Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs within the territory.
· Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and Salesforce.
· Collaborate with marketing, operations, and leadership teams to support territory growth initiatives.
Qualifications
· Post-secondary education in Business, Sales, Administration, or another related field.
· 3 – 5 years of experience with building materials, or within the construction industry.
· 3 – 5 years of providing exceptional customer service.
· Working knowledge and experience with SAP is considered an asset.
Competencies required
· Basic mathematical skills related to measurements.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
· Demonstrate a strong ability to multi-task, handle timelines, and close attention to details.
