Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Skilled Construction Labourer to join our team in Mississauga. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in general construction, and repair work. You will support a variety of residential and commercial projects, including renovations, minor structural work, and landscaping, . This position is ideal for a reliable tradesperson who takes pride in quality workmanship, safety, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on construction tasks such as demolition, framing assistance, drywall installation, flooring, painting, and finishing.
- Perform finishing carpentry as needed.
- Capable of operating machinery; must have the ability to drive company vehicles (valid G-Class Driver's License and clean abstract required)
- Maintain a clean site (i.e., pick up garbage and organize materials.)
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and small machinery safely and effectively.
- Assist in site preparation, material handling, and cleanup to maintain a safe and organized jobsite.
- Conduct basic repairs and preventative maintenance on building systems and exterior elements (e.g., fences, doors, roofing, landscaping).
- Work collaboratively with project supervisors, trades, and property managers to complete jobs efficiently and on schedule.
- Follow all health and safety procedures as per Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in general construction, renovation, or property maintenance.
- Strong working knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety practices.
- Proficiency using hand and power tools (saws, drills, grinders, levels, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and measurements.
- Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and working in varied conditions (indoor/outdoor, heights, confined spaces).
- Valid Ontario G-class driver’s licence and reliable transportation to job sites across Mississauga and the GTA.
- WHMIS and Working at Heights certifications are highly preferred.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
- Punctual, organized, and adaptable to changing job priorities.
Assets (Preferred)
- Experience in carpentry, drywall finishing, plumbing, or electrical support.
- Basic knowledge of building codes and safety standards for residential and light commercial construction.

Work Schedule
- Monday to Friday, approximately 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
- IMPORTANT: Occasional weekends or evenings will be required during peak project periods or emergency situations.
- Opportunities for overtime
Pay: $26.00-$32.00 per hour
