Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Hand/Cook to join our team. This role involves preparing and cooking vegetarian indian meals, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, and ensuring food safety standards are met. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, excellent kitchen skills, and experience working in a restaurant or food service setting. Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to recipes and standards
- Cook and assemble dishes efficiently while maintaining high quality
- Follow food safety and hygiene protocols to ensure safe food handling practices
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste properly
- Assist with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying management of stock levels
- Support serving staff during busy periods to ensure timely delivery of meals
- Adhere to all health regulations and safety procedures within the kitchen environment
Skills
- Proven experience in cooking, food preparation, or restaurant settings
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Experience with meal preparation, food service, and general kitchen operations is preferred
- Knowledge of the food industry standards and best practices for maintaining a hygienic workspace
