The Job
We are currently seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Room Attendants and Laundry Attendants to join our team and help maintain the high standards our guests expect.
Reporting to the Quality Inn & Conference Centre Kingston, our Laundry Attendants are responsible for processing, delivering, and collecting laundry for the Quality Inn, Comfort Inn & Suites Kingston Central, and Holiday Inn Express & Suites Kingston Central. The Laundry Attendant ensures all linens are cleaned, dried, folded, delivered, collected and organized to brand standards, supporting the Housekeeping teams across all properties.
As a Room Attendant, you play a vital role in ensuring each guest’s stay is comfortable, clean, and memorable. You take pride in preparing every guestroom with care and precision, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and presentation. Your attention to detail helps create a welcoming environment that reflects the hotel’s commitment to excellence and leaves a lasting impression on every guest.

What You'll Do
As a Laundry Attendant:
- Receive and verify laundry shipments from HLS, ensuring accuracy and reporting any discrepancies.
- Clean lint traps and ensure dryers are operating safely.
- Count, record, and prepare linens for delivery to all properties.
- Deliver and return laundry using the dedicated HLS ramp, avoiding public entrances to maintain professionalism and proper operational flow.
- Sort, wash, dry, and fold all linen types, including towels, bathmats, pillowcases, face cloths, bed pads, sheets, blankets, duvets and duvet covers.
- Maintain a clean, organized laundry room and ensure all equipment is cleaned at the end of each shift.
- Turn in any guest items found in laundry immediately to Lost and Found.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines and proper handling procedures.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
As a Room Attendant:
- Arrive 15 minutes prior to shift to prepare for shift, receive tasks sheets and organize supplies
- Maintain a clean, organized, and clutter-free work area at all times.
- Stock housekeeping carts with all necessary supplies and amenities prior to beginning daily assignments.
- Clean assigned guestrooms thoroughly and efficiently within established time standards, ensuring all rooms meet the hotel’s cleanliness and presentation expectations.
- Perform all cleaning duties in each guestroom, including but not limited to:
- Change bed linens and make beds neatly and according to standards.
- Put dirty linen and towels in laundry bags when removing them from the room, instead of leaving on hallway floors
- Vacuum carpets and move furniture as needed to ensure complete cleaning.
- Dust and polish all furniture, fixtures, picture frames, lamps, and surfaces.
- Clean mirrors, windows, walls, and other surfaces to maintain a spotless appearance.
- Sanitize bathroom areas, including showers/tubs, sinks, toilets, and floors.
- Replenish guest amenities such as towels, toiletries, glassware, and writing materials.
- Empty all wastebaskets and ensuring proper disposal of garbage and recycling.
- Ensure all guestrooms are set up to brand standards prior to guest arrival.
- Report any discrepancies in room status, maintenance issues, or incomplete rooms to the Supervisor promptly.
- Follow proper Lost & Found procedures for all items recovered in guestrooms.
- Complete assignment sheets accurately, noting all rooms serviced.
- Inspect and maintain cleaning equipment in proper working condition; report repair needs or low supply levels to the Supervisor.

Who We're Looking For
- Completion of Grade 10 education
- Minimum 1 year experience in a cleaning environment, preferably in a hotel setting is considered an asset
- Must be flexible to work any shift, such as days, weekends and holidays
- Must be polite & courteous
- Ability to use sound judgement in day to day activities and decision making
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to work as a team or independently
- Must possess the ability to communicate effectively within a diverse team environment
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a multi-cultural environment with co-workers, managers, and guests
- Must be reliable and excellent time management skills
