We Are Looking For:
We are looking for an experienced Machine Operator to join our dedicated team on the day shift (Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm). This role will work out of our 87,000 sq. ft. facility located in Puslinch, ON.
Please note the day shift and our facility is not accessible by bus.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Operate a variety of industrial machines and shop equipment as required (Drill presses, sanders, punches, saws, or brake presses, etc.)
- May operate material handling equipment such as overhead cranes and forklifts
- Read shop work orders or blue prints to determine scope of work
- Observe machine operations and periodically verify conformance of parts to specifications using tape measures, templates, or verniers
- General duties as required
- Work in a safe manner in accordance to legislation and Company policies. This includes working in required PPE (Steel toed boots, hearing protection, safety glasses)
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1-2 years' hands on experience working with industrial equipment. Previous drill, break, shear and/or saw experience considered a strong asset
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in a manufacturing/machine shop environment
- Must be able to read blueprints
- Must be able to accurately use measuring tools
- Previous experience using hand tools
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Capable of standing for extended periods of time
- Possess a positive attitude and work well in a team oriented environment
