Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Gravel Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting materials to and from residential construction sites, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the gravel truck. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation and mechanical knowledge, as well as the ability to work in various outdoor conditions.
Duties
- Operate a gravel truck to transport materials such as dirt, gravel, and other construction materials.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition.
- Load and unload materials as needed, utilizing proper techniques to prevent damage.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to coordinate material delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of materials transported and any incidents that occur during transport.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies while on the job site.
- Local work in the greater Edmonton area and surrounding communities
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in gravel truck driving or heavy equipment operation.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with the vehicle.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols at all times.
