Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Furniture Upholsterer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, upholstering, and finishing furniture pieces with precision and attention to detail. This role requires a strong understanding of woodworking, mechanical processes, and the use of various tools to produce high-quality furniture products. Responsibilities
- Assemble furniture components using hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as CNC machines.
- Upholster furniture frames with fabric, foam, and other materials to meet design specifications.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely to move materials and finished products.
- Utilize woodworking skills for cutting, shaping, and finishing wood parts.
- Conduct machining tasks including drilling, sanding, and finishing surfaces to ensure quality standards.
- Measure components accurately using calipers and other precision tools.
- Follow safety protocols during heavy lifting, assembly, and machining processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality.
Requirements
- Proven experience in woodworking, furniture assembly, or manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency with CNC machines, power tools, hand tools, calipers, and machining techniques.
- Mechanical knowledge related to construction, machining, and assembly processes.
- Warehouse experience including forklift operation is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided if necessary.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent measurement skills.
- Knowledge of upholstery techniques is a plus but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Prior experience with manufacturing or construction environments is advantageous.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high-quality standards.
