The Receiving Associate assists in the day-to-day receiving and distributing of items at the donation door(s). As the front-facing for donors, Receiving Associate sets the tone for the donor experience. This means ensuring the utmost in customer service.

- Strong interpersonal skills; willing and able to work with a variety of people; friendly, outgoing and appreciative of volunteers
- Able to lift to 50 lbs. if required
- Ability to communicate to donors the laws and policies pertaining to what could be accepted and sold in the second-hand market,
- Firm commitment to accountability
Key Responsibilities
Receiving Associates meet donors at the receiving door, accepting donations and communicating the mission of MCC.
- Communicate to donors what products can or can’t be accepted for re-sale and why,
- Initial sort of dations, organizing donations according to departments,
- Ensure consistent procedures and quality standards
- Assist volunteer receiver/sorter in accurately discerning acceptable quality, and able to correctly categorize, store or rack items.
- Maintain neat, clean, and organized donation processing environment as required
- Any other duties may be assigned by General Manager or Receiving Manager.
Salary Details
Base salary: $45,228

Additional Information
This position requires the individual to be able to do physical work for many hours per day, including standing, bending and lifting.
