Job Description
Revelstoke Mountain Resort is seeking outgoing and energetic individuals to work for Mountain Childcare full-time. The ideal candidates are comfortable working with children ages 18 months to 6 years of age, with previous experience in the field. We are seeking employees who are reliable and take pride in their work ethic.
The role of childcare attendant would be best suited for those who love working with children, enjoy planning arts and crafts and various activities, and take initiative. As we are a regulated childcare facility, only applicants that meet the listed requirements will be considered for the position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising and caring for children aged 18 months to 6 years of age in Mountain Childcare
- Planning and organizing activities such as crafts, games and outdoor excursions
- Administration duties include check-in and reservations.
- Preparing healthy snacks and assisting with lunch.
- Tidying, cleaning and sanitizing of Childcare Centre, Kids ROC, equipment and toys.
- Act according to Mountain Childcare and Sports School Policies and Procedures.
- Communicate regularly with management and/or parents/guardians.
- Assisting children in getting ready for outside play and ski lessons and taking excursions around the resort.
Qualifications & Skills
Requirements: (Please note, only applications that meet the requirements will be considered)
- Work eligibility in Canada – can provide work permit and SIN documentation
- Be at least 19 years of age
- Be able to provide care and mature guidance to children ages 18 months-6 years old
- Have completed a course, or a combination of courses, of at least 20 hours duration in child development, guidance, health and safety, or nutrition. Must be able to provide proof of course through a certificate or program transcript.
- Have relevant work experience in a child-minding setting with ages 18 months-6 years of age
- Food safe is an asset
- Current First Aid Certificate with CPR.
- A Criminal Record Check will be completed by Mountain Childcare.
- Take initiative in new settings
- Flexible and reliable

- Have creative ideas for program planning
- Fluency in English, second languages are an asset
