We are looking for a part-time server team member to join our team! This position is being posted due to a vacancy.
Key Responsibilities:
Dining Room Service:
· Greet residents warmly.
· Take meal orders accurately and communicate them to the kitchen staff.
· Serve meals and beverages promptly, ensuring residents’ dietary restrictions are observed.
· Clear tables after meals, clean and reset dining areas.
· Engage with residents in a friendly and patient manner, addressing their requests or concerns.
· Maintain a positive dining atmosphere to enhance the residents’ overall dining experience.
Kitchen/Dietary Department Support:
· Prepare and pack food carts for delivery to resident floors.
· Ensure food carts are clean and organized.
· Prepare, serve, and refill coffee, tea, juice, water, and other beverages
· Wash dishes, utensils, trays, and kitchen equipment following sanitation standards
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining room and kitchen areas
· Follow all food safety and health regulations
· Work collaboratively with kitchen staff, care staff, and management
Job Description: Risk Management and General Safety
· Partners with community team to ensure community is in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety requirements and promotion of Risk Management programs and/or policies; adherence to safety rules and regulations.
· Practices safety procedures at all times including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), fire safety procedures including extinguishers (as applicable), SDSs (Safety Data Sheets) and Lockout Tagout procedures.
· Reports all accidents/incidents immediately.
· Reports all unsafe and hazardous conditions/equipment immediately.
· Complies with all infection control procedures
· Participates in Fire Safety and Mock Disaster procedures.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in food service, hospitality, or a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen sanitation practices.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in both kitchen and dining room settings.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including mornings, weekends, or holidays.
