Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with additional experience in heavy equipment and industrial machinery. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a wide range of vehicles and equipment, including cars, trucks, heavy machinery, excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, HVAC systems, and industrial equipment.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized diagnostic tools to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Conduct repairs involving electrical systems, mechanical components, hydraulics, and schematics interpretation.
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, excavators, cranes, and other industrial machinery safely and efficiently.
- Follow safety protocols during all maintenance procedures and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Document repair procedures accurately and communicate findings clearly to customers or team members.
- Assist in assembly or disassembly of mechanical components as needed for repairs or upgrades.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an automotive technician or mechanic; dealership experience is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across automotive systems and heavy equipment operation.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic schematics.
- Experience working with industrial equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, HVAC units, farm machinery, or similar machinery is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments.
- Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting electrical issues in vehicles or machinery.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Relevant certifications or licenses related to automotive repair or heavy equipment operation are a plus.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced settings while maintaining attention to detail.
Pay: $22.00 per hour
